OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – On Wednesday, October 14, at 9:OOPM CT News 9 will air the second debate in the race for Oklahoma’s 5th District between Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) and her opponent, State Sen. Stephanie Bice. The debate was originally scheduled for October 13, but will now air on Wednesday due to changes in CBS’s national programming. The 5th District Debate will be carried on News 9 and streamed on News9.com.
“Oklahoma’s Fifth District deserves a representative who can stand up to their party, who will show up for their state, and who can shake things up in Washington. That’s exactly what I’ve done and will continue to do,” said Congresswoman Kendra Horn. “I’ve hosted a record number of town halls and was recognized as one of the most accessible members of Congress. This debate will be another chance to discuss the issues important to our communities. I’m the only candidate in this race who has consistently fought for our public schools and to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare. That’s a record I’m proud to run on.”
During her first term, Congresswoman Horn has hosted a record 53 town halls, and was recognized as one of the most accessible freshman members of Congress by the Town Hall Project.
