Congresswoman Horn Helps with Storm Relief Day Before Election, Removing Branches Blocking Polling Place – On Monday, Congresswoman Horn and volunteers from the campaign helped to clear debris from a local polling place following last week’s powerful storm that left thousands throughout the Oklahoma City region without power. Team Horn spent the morning at Wildewood Baptist Church clearing tree branches and other debris in an effort to get the polling location ready for tomorrow’s election.

Horn Calls on Bice to Release Health Care Plan as COVID Hospitalizations Hit Record High – On Monday, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) called on State Senator Stephanie Bice to release the details of her health care plan. While Bice has pushed to completely do away with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the ACA is currently the only law that protects hundreds of thousands of people in Oklahoma with pre-existing conditions and made it possible for Oklahoma to expand Medicaid, providing health coverage to more than 2OO,OOO individuals.

Educators Endorse Kendra Horn for Congress – On Sunday, October 25, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) accepted the endorsements of the Oklahoma Education Association (OEA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) – Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma City AFT. Local educators joined Congresswoman Horn for a short press conference and then participated in an Educators Day of Action to knock doors for the campaign.

Oklahoman reporter Chris Casteel replied that for low-income families, a savings account would not be enough to cover the cost of lifesaving care. 

Today: News 9 Debate Between Horn and Bice – On Wednesday, October 14, at 9:OOPM CT News 9 will air the second debate in the race for Oklahoma’s 5th District between Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) and her opponent, State Sen. Stephanie Bice. The debate was originally scheduled for October 13, but will now air on Wednesday due to changes in CBS’s national programming. Horn Campaign Releases Poll Showing Eight-Point Lead in OK-5 – Congresswoman Kendra Horn’s campaign released internal polling conducted by Normington, Petts, and Associates showing Horn with 52% and State Senator Stephanie Bice with 44% in the race for Oklahoma’s Fifth District. The poll showed voters view Congresswoman Horn with an 11-point net positive favorability rating, and Stephanie Bice with a net negative 3-point favorability rating. Additionally, Horn’s 55 percent job approval rating, clearly shows strength across party lines in a district that President Trump won by double digits in 2O16. These data confirm another poll conducted by GQR in late August which showed Horn with 51% of the vote.
