Debate Takeaway: Horn Puts Bice on Defense on Health Care, Education

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – On Thursday, October 8, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) and State Senator Stephanie Bice took the debate stage for the first time in the race for Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District. The debate focused on the candidate stances on top issues facing Oklahoma and the country, including health care, education, policing, and the economy.

“Oklahomans who tuned in for tonight’s debate saw Congresswoman Kendra Horn put Bice on the defensive over her record cutting funding for public education, health care, and police training,” said Campaign Manager Ward Curtin. “The difference is that Congresswoman Horn has a record she can run on, and Bice has a record she has to run from. People in Oklahoma support Kendra Horn because she has a plan to invest in our public schools, lower health care costs, protect people with pre-existing conditions, and get things done for our state. Tonight she layed out her vision for how she’ll continue fighting for Oklahoma and shake things up in Washington with bipartisan ideas. It was a clear victory for Kendra Horn.”
